Sand Skiing

Without the opportunity to snow ski, sand skiing provides the next best thing!  With the aid of a four-wheel drive, all you need is a big steep dune and off your go on an exhilarating ride.  

'Big Red' as it is affectionately known lies half way to Hatta, to the left of the main road and is a popular skiing spot.

  In some sports stores they sell 'sand boards' which are cheaper and more basic snowboards.  For children, a plastic sledge or something similar is enough to give a lot of fun for anyone.
